PURCHASES & RETURNS
All umbrellas purchased from ShadeScapes USA are considered final sales. We do not take preference returns. Returns related to shipping damages must be claimed within 5 days of delivery. Be sure to inspect your package immediately upon delivery.
SHADEMAKERS UMBRELLAS: PLEASE NOTE:
Transit damage claims should be initiated with ShadeScapes USA within 48 hours of receipt of product. Photographs of the damaged boxes and/or concealed damages must be provided to aid in the claims process. ShadeScapes USA will assist to make for a smooth claims process.
Please be advised that the Shademakers warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, wind, or wrongful use of the product. Read all instructions carefully to properly install and operate your Shademakers umbrella. Be sure all operators are properly trained in operation and wind guidelines. Always apply common sense wind guidelines: if it is too windy to be outside enjoying the day under the umbrella, lower the canopy. See your Owner's Manual for detailed wind guidelines for your specific Shademakers model.
STANDARD WARRANTY
Your warranty by Shademakers is against faulty workmanship or defective materials. The standard warranty for the frame and structure is 12 or 24 months depending on the Shademakers model, calculated from the date of your purchase. This is in addition to any of the rights you may have in law. This warranty is not intended to modify or limit such rights.
The warranty is subject to the following conditions:
1. Read and understand
First, you must read and understand the assembly instructions for the assembly/installation and maintenance of your Shademakers umbrella.
2. Assembly/Installation
You must assemble/install your Shademakers umbrella in accordance with our written instructions.
3. Use
You must use your Shademakers umbrella in accordance with our written instructions, having regard to the prevailing weather at the time of use. You must take additional care in windy conditions.
4. Maintenance
It is the buyer's responsibility to maintain the Shademakers umbrella as per our written instructions.
5. Modification
Any modifications made to the Shademakers umbrella except those made by an authorized Shademakers agent, may invalidate the warranty.
6. Repairs
This warranty does not cover repairs which are necessary because of an accident or because of careless use of the Shademakers umbrella.
7. Coverage
This warranty is for the benefit of the original purchaser of the Shademakers umbrella and does not apply to any subsequent owner.
8. Invalidation
If you fail to comply with conditions 1 to 4 of this warranty, your failure may invalidate the warranty or any claim made under it.
Premium fabrics are manufactured from 100% acrylic fiber and guaranteed to:
Premium fabrics are very tightly woven, with minimal light transmission, resulting in excellent UV protection of UPF 50+ and SPF 100. Should the fabric fail, the fabric manufacturer will offer to replace the fabric free of charge, subject to the following:
1. Proof of date of purchase is provided by the customer.
2. The fabric is maintained correctly.
3. This fabric guarantee extends specifically to the replacement of fabric only and excludes the work and installation of others and also excludes other fittings and hardware. Other costs such as the dismantling, transport, re-erection, traveling costs and consequential loss are also excluded from this guarantee.
